girl, boy + baby easter baskets
Easter is just around the corner! Everything looks a little different these days so if I can provide some “normal” things for my kids I am all for it. I have shared lots of ideas for Easter baskets here and Easter basket gifts here and wanted to share what actually ended up in the kid’s Easter baskets this year.
There is an awesome local toy store in Duluth, GA called Hello Rainbow that has the cutest selection of kid’s toys, books, accessories and more. I needed a few extra things for the kids so I reached out to the owner via Instagram and she recommended some items that were perfect. Unfortunately she had to temporarily close her brick and mortar store but has lots of items online. If you haven’t completed your Easter baskets yet I highly recommend checking out her store and supporting this awesome local business if you can.
Silly String - I hate silly string but my kid’s love it. I bought a case of a generic brand so that every kid could have several cans in their baskets and there would be extra for mom and dad to have a silly string fight with them.
Pixel Art - I think my daughter is going to love these coloring books! Before we shut down phone/tablets for the kids (you can read about that here) they loved to “color” these kinds of things on an app. We’ll see if she loves it in real life too!
Chocolate Bunny - It may be extra but I just can’t stand yucky, chalky chocolate Easter bunnies so I ordered a few from Sees Candy for the kiddos.
Bubbles - My kids can’t get enough of bubbles so I figured a huge container would get them through at least a few days of quarantine life. These bubbles have a 4.6 star rating on Amazon with just shy of 700 reviews. For bubbles. I had to check it out for myself.
Markers Carousel - Maybe it’s just us but we can’t seem to keep markers around. Caps get lost, nothing ever makes it’s way back in the box so we are going to see if this carousel keeps things in order.
Bathing Suit - If you don’t know about Primary get on board! I love Primary for tag free, character free basics. Most of their clothes are solids but they have a few stripes and polka dots as well. I’m a sucker for pretty much anything rainbow or polka dot so this bathing suit is just too cute. It’s good quality and I love that the straps cross in the back so everything will stay in place.
Mermaid Book - My daughter’s name is Mabel and she loves mermaids so Mabel, a Mermaid Fable was a perfect choice for her basket. She had a (not so) little mermaid birthday party this year so I think she is going to love this sweet story.
Basket - This basket from Container Store is awesome and an absolute steal of a price. Good quality, decent size and will make a great storage basket either in the bathroom or to store smaller toys in my daughter’s room.
Kid’s Makeup - My daughter has been begging me for makeup. Since we are on lockdown I figure might as well let her loose with some kid friendly makeup.
Bubbles, Carousel Markers, Silly String & Chocolate Bunny - All of these items are the same as the girl’s basket above. With kids relatively close in age if one has something the other generally wants it too.
Rash Guard + Bathing Suit Shorts - Another Primary buy and I love the color combo and the coordination with the girl’s bathing suits. These rash guards and shorts come in tons of colors and there are long sleeve rash guards as well.
Yeti Book - The Yeti Files is a really fun and funny book series for kids. This book is the third in the series and my fingers are crossed that my son hasn’t already read it.
Dot to Dot Extreme - My son will sit for an hour and do these dot-to-dot with pictures that have up to 1,400 dots. It is actually really relaxing. Kind of like how adult coloring books are relaxing but without the stress of feeling like you need to make the perfect color selections.
Bubble Blast Rocket - Too many bubbles in one basket? No such thing! My son has been eyeing this bubble rocket on our trips to Hello Rainbow toy store and the owner said it’s a best seller. Outdoor activities are hot on my priority list right now.
Basket - this basket is the same as the pink one above but a different color.
Baby Rash Guard + Swim Diaper - I can’t wait to get this sweet little two piece on the baby. It’s just so cute! Love the contrast of the dark zipper on the rash guard.
Rainbow Stacking Toy - this silicone stacking toy is really cute and I love that the baby can chew on it, play with it in her room or bring it in the bath. As mentioned before I love rainbows and I love kid’s toys that are both functional and cute on a shelf.
Pat the Bunny - Is there a more classic baby book? Ours got trashed and then we trashed it so got this to replace it and didn’t realize until it arrived that it was much larger than the versions I’m used to seeing and that we have had before.
Basket - The basket for the baby is the same as for brother and sister but a little smaller.
